Teaching Asian Religions Through Film: Response and Reflections

This article presents reflections on Chien’s, Richey’s, and Mixon’s articles the benefits of using film as a component courses about Asian religions. I first explore how incorporating can help meet goals that instructors set part their course planning, then shift to analysis various pedagogical strategies Chien, Richey, Mixon employ, highlighting techniques they use for East religions Islam be valuable in teaching other well. paper was panel “Teaching Religions Through Film” presented at Association Studies conference Honolulu, Hawaii, March 24–27, 2022.
